For many people, this is an extremely irritating influence, requiring great patience and forbearance as well as willingness to keep yourself in the background for a while. During this time you may feel lonely and cut off from others, as if you couldn't get through to them. At this time you can do work that requires great concentration of energy and meticulous care. If you have been working on a project of this sort, it may now approach completion or reach a critical culmination.

Valid during many months: This time represents the culmination of your efforts to expand the domain of your activities. There is more and more that you want to do, and you resent anything that narrows your freedom and limits your scope of action. The challenge of this influence is to be conscious enough of yourself and of what you are doing so that you can plan intelligently and work effectively with enlightened self-interest as opposed to pure selfishness.

During this time you have a very strong need to assert yourself, but you may do it in a way that provokes conflict with others. And if you try to suppress this need for ego-expression, you may have to contend with someone elses attempts to be overbearing. On the other hand, this could possibly be a time of very vigorous and successful work, in which you succeed by asserting your own individuality toward others in some way. The lesson that you must learn is that your own success does not have to be at someone elses expense.

If you suppress your sexuality in platonic relationships at this time, you may become irritable and feisty. This effect may be so subtle that you are not even aware of what is happening at the time. If you cannot fulfill your secret desire to make love to someone, you may become angry and harsh with that person. There is nothing to be done about this except to be aware of it and not take your feelings too seriously. But if there is any possibility of a sexual relationship with the person in question, feel free to initiate it.

Whether or not you yourself feel irritable, and you very likely will, today may be full of disputes and arguments, unless you try to understand other peoples points of view. This is not a good day for trying to settle arguments, because both you and your opponent will become so firmly entrenched in your own position that neither of you will budge an inch. What you must recognize today is that your ego is thoroughly bound up with your opinions and that you are acting as if a challenge to your ideas were literally a challenge to your physical self.

During this time you may find your own inward unconscious drives mirrored in someone elses actions. Usually this occurs as a conflict in which the other person acts very irrationally and compulsively in ways that are detrimental to your goals. Look at this person very carefully. Although it may seem quite magical, he or she is really reflecting your own inward ego problems. The other person is yourself! This is because you tend to project your inner attitudes onto the other person, rather than experiencing the other person directly as he or she really is.

Valid during many months: On the negative side, this can be a time of furious conflict with others. Recent actions by you or by other people may have created energies that lead to anger, rage and general disagreement between you and others. If you have not been careful to enlist people to your side in any work that required your individual initiative and if you have alienated them thereby, you may find now that the forces of opposition have become too great to control. The other side of this transit is quite different and much more positive.
